Ekhwesi: Customer User Interface Unit

Traditionally split meters have required hard wiring between the metering device and user interface keypad. Now, with Ekhwesi's wireless user interface unit (wUIU(09), radio frequency is used between the devices, making installation simpler, better and faster. In addition, through the use of RF (radio frequency), users are assured of a working solution with no interference, that can operate comfortably up to 100 metres. An added benefit is that the wUIU(09) is fully compatible with Ekhwesi's extensive range of split meters.

The split configuration of the wBEC62 range of three phase meters, means that the metering device is installed outside the consumer's premesis, whilst the user interface keypad is installed within the home. This provides increased security, whilst ensuring consumer convenience. The new, No Power Tamper (Optional Advanced Tamper) detection capabilities detect tamper even in the absence of an incoming supply.
